Editor Ann Dee Allen has been great to work with. The print edition of the magazine is so glossy and professional! Flipping through it, I was so impressed with the artists' creativity and patience. Pick it up at a newsstand if you get a chance. I may be doing other profiles of beadwork artists for this market in future.

I'm reading John Grisham's The Last Juror (2004). It's a lot of fun because it's about a small-town newspaper, a lot like some of the weeklies here in Southern Idaho. The main character purchases the paper, then plunges into brave coverage of a touchy murder trial in Ford County, Mississippi. If you're working at a small-town paper, I recommend this read.
