Updates on OCTA convention and off to Maine we go

Check out my Web site for notes on the Oregon-California Trails Association convention in Nampa this past week. I had a wonderful time and met a lot of people who share my interest in Western history. I plan to add to my notes later, so keep checking back if Oregon Trail stuff interests you.

Now I shift gears--and switch to a larger suitcase--and fly to Maine tomorrow morning with almost-two-year-old Axel. It's going to be a challenging flight, since he's supposed to sit on my lap. Yeah. The whole way. There are two layovers (Chicago and NYC), so at least we can walk, change diapers and enjoy the change of scenery a couple of times.

My sister Megan, whose Web page is under "Sister Site" on amyballard.com, is getting married August 16th. I get to be in the wedding! Stop by Meg's page and congratulate her!
